Overview


We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in food production, menu development, and team management, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Hours would be 6.30am until 6.30pm covering breakfast, lunch and teatime (3 days per week - every other weekend)

Duties



Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food preparation and service. Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends. Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices. Monitor inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed while minimising waste. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Stay updated on industry trends, continually seeking opportunities for culinary innovation.

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality/care industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles. Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in kitchen management. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with both kitchen and front-of-house teams. A passion for culinary excellence and a commitment to delivering outstanding dining experiences.
