Responsibilities



Lead and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation and presentation Oversee all aspects of food production, from initial preparation to final plating, maintaining consistency and quality Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends Manage food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations and cleanliness standards Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of ingredients and kitchen supplies Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a positive and productive working environment Monitor inventory levels, control waste, and optimise utilisation of resources Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times

Skills



Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen or hospitality environment Extensive food production knowledge with expertise in food preparation and cooking techniques Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and lead by example Excellent understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices Previous restaurant experience demonstrating proficiency in culinary arts and service delivery Leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and suppliers Knowledge of hospitality operations including serving procedures is advantageous

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.50-16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 37.5 per week
