Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Prepare high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards. Manage food production processes, ensuring that all meals are prepared on time and to the highest standards of quality. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene practices. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate innovative techniques into menu offerings.

Skills

Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry. Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
