The Hall Residential Home has an excellent reputation for care delivery and for helping our residents to "make new memories".

We are located in the village of Thornton-le-Dale with excellent transport links to Pickering, Malton and Scarborough. The Hall is a beautiful, Grade II-listed residential care home that delivers exceptional care to all our residents.

An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual with a positive outlook to come and join our dedicated team and be a key part of our mealtime experience. We are looking to recruit a Care Home Cook on a part time, permanent contract who can boast the following attributes:

You will have a great knowledge and passion for food with a relevant track record of creating and cooking a variety of homemade meals, desserts and baking. To be aware of residents dietary preferences and maintain their balanced diets. You will need to be highly motivated and have excellent communication skills. Able to work on your own initiative and perform as part of a small team. Be responsible for the cleaning of the kitchen, surrounding areas and equipment to maintain our exacting standards. Comply with all Health & Safety, Hygiene, Fire Regulations and other policies and procedures.
Previous experience within a Care Home environment is preferred.

Level 2 Food Hygiene is a must and Level 3 Food Hygiene would be advantageous.

Knowledge of IDDSI Framework and Food Allergen Awareness or a willingness to learn.

The role is for 30 hours per week to include alternate weekends.

Additional hours may be available to cover holidays and sickness.
