Care Home Cook/Chef
We are looking for a Cook/Chef who is passionate about providing top quality food, using fresh produce across a varied menu to join our team.

Stour Road Care Home is based in Christchurch, close to the train station and local amenities. We are looking for someone to join our small cohesive team, providing excellent care in a safe, warm, happy environment that is homely in scale. You may be expected to work across sites.

You will be responsible for the preparation of all meals including homemade desserts and cakes, cleanliness of food service areas, record keeping and taking deliveries, ensuring it is correctly stored. As well as ensuring all special dietary needs are met and prepare texture modified food as directed. You will assist the Catering Manager, ensuring all weekly/monthly cleaning tasks as required to maintain the kitchen's 5 star rating.

You will work as a key part of the companies catering team led by the Catering Manager. Meal times are a key event in our resident's daily routine and our catering team take pride in providing them with meals they thoroughly enjoy. This role will require the successful candidate to work alternate weekends.

The catering team work across both of our homes to ensure all annual leave and absence is covered to maintain continuity of meals for our residents. Both homes are within 5 minutes drive of each other.

Candidates should have a minimum of 1 years' experience working in the kitchen environment.

Desired previous qualifications in catering, however full training can be provided.
