About the role
As Deputy Manager, you will support the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring high-quality care is consistently delivered. You'll oversee the care team, taking full responsibility in the absence of the Home Manager.
Your role will also involve training and supervising staff, assisting with pre-admission assessments, maintaining up-to-date care plans and records, and building strong communication with residents' families and external professionals.

Key skills and attributes
Previous experience as a Deputy Home Manager.
Strong ability to engage with service users to understand their needs.
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and referral pathways.
Good working knowledge of CQC standards.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and external professionals.
Commitment to involving residents and families in the development and evaluation of care plans.
Education and qualifications
NMC registered nurse with relevant experience (essential).
