Care Home General Assistant
(Domestic, Laundry & Kitchen Support)

We are looking for a reliable and caring General Assistant to join our friendly care home team. This is a varied and hands-on role, supporting the smooth running of the home across domestic, laundry, and kitchen areas.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work, and understands how important a clean, safe, and welcoming environment is for our residents.

Main Responsibilities

Domestic Duties

Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the care home, including communal areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, and staff areas Follow cleaning schedules and infection prevention and control procedures Use cleaning equipment and products safely and correctly
Laundry Duties

Collect, wash, dry, iron, and return residents' and linen laundry Ensure residents' clothing is handled with dignity and care Maintain laundry areas to a high standard of cleanliness and organisation
Kitchen Assistant Duties

Support the kitchen team with food preparation, serving meals, and clearing down Wash up and keep kitchen areas clean and hygienic in line with food safety standards Assist with maintaining stock levels and reporting shortages
General Responsibilities

Work flexibly across departments as required Follow health and safety, COSHH, and infection control procedures at all times Treat residents with dignity, respect, and kindness Work as part of a team to create a positive and homely environment
About You

Reliable, flexible, and willing to learn A positive attitude and strong work ethic Able to work well as part of a team and independently Previous experience in a care, cleaning, catering, or similar role is desirable but not essential An understanding of the importance of confidentiality and professionalism

Pay: 12.21 per hour
