We are a well-established residential care home providing high-quality care and support to our residents. We are now looking for a reliable and skilled

Maintenance Technician

to join our team on a part-time basis.

Contract:

Part-time, permanent

Hours:

3 weekdays per week, 6 hours per day (flexible working days to be agreed)

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out general maintenance and repair tasks around the care home (plumbing, carpentry, basic electrical, painting & decorating). Complete weekly fire alarm and emergency lighting checks in line with safety regulations. Maintain and repair fixtures, fittings, and equipment to ensure a safe and comfortable environment. Support with health & safety compliance and maintain records of checks and repairs. Ensure outdoor areas (gardens, car park, pathways) are kept tidy and safe. Liaise with external contractors when specialist work is required. Respond promptly to maintenance requests raised by staff or management.

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience in a maintenance, handyman, or facilities role (care home experience desirable but not essential). Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, and painting/decorating. Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently. A positive, reliable, and flexible attitude. Commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for residents.
