Team leader -Family Friendly Employer

35-40 hours/week

Location: Jordanhill -Glasgow

The Team Leader's post is an essential role in

a) supporting the care service to ensure that the highest standards of care are delivered at all times, e.g supervision

b) To mentor and support staff in developing their practice and skills as carers

c) Maintaining accurate care records and information e.g care plans, reviews, etc

d) To be a good communicator and decision maker.

e) Managing time well, achieving service goals

f) Demonstrating excellent time keeping, attendance and flexibility at work.

g) Demonstrating an excellent work ethic, treating everyone with respect, courtesy and dignity

The successful person will be an enthusiastic, experienced and motivated person with a passion for ensuring that people receive the highest standards of care, dignity, respect and choice. They will be honest, hardworking, flexible and committed to teamwork and learning.

The successful candidate with be financially supported to undertake and complete all relevant professional qualifications e.g SVQ 3/4-costing 2k

Within your role, you will:

support care staff in delivering the highest standards of individual care to meet the emotional, social, spiritual, physical and psychological needs of older people within our care home. be able to assess residents' needs and plan their care, exhibiting good teamwork and effective communication and interpersonal skills. report to the care home manager daily or as required. have good organisational skills, time management, and be able to maintain resident records, e.g. care plan be creative, inspiring, and organised. an excellent role model to others, supporting fellow colleagues in their practice and professional development. communicate effectively with members of the multidisciplinary team as and when required, e.g. nurses, doctors, pharmacy, etc.
As a 'people person' with a warm and empathetic personality, you will have a flair for making things happen. You will be committed to ensuring the home, its residents and staff are involved in the local community, so a genuine enthusiasm for our residents is essential.
