In this role, we are looking for a passionate and motivated individual who is excited to help grow a service from scratch! You will play a vital part in overseeing our home care services, ensuring that our caregivers and housekeeping assistants provide the highest standard of care and support while building meaningful relationships with clients.

As we are still a fairly new branch, at the start we would require the Care Manager to get involved with Networking, Marketing, Recruitment, delivering care , so there will be some on call needed at times!

Responsibilities



Support the Registered Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the homecare service, management of Client care, stepping into the Registered Manager's role when required. Supervise and support caregivers and housekeepers to ensure quality service delivery. Foster relationships with clients and their families to enhance satisfaction. Conduct regular assessments to assess & monitor client needs and service effectiveness. Assist with the recruitment, training, and development of staff members. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in home care. Conduct Service Reviews and Quality Assurance checks, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and business growth. Assist with Client acquisition, onboarding, and initial care setup, including Clients with complex care needs. Provide confident, professional introductions of Care Professionals to Clients, in accordance with our Choose Your Caregiver initiative Support staff through shadowing and training visits Create and update detailed, person-centred care plans in collaboration with Clients and their families, using the Birdie system. Accurately manage medication records and updates within Birdie, and support Care Professionals in medication administration. Manage the Birdie Team Dashboard and contribute to business projects and initiatives. Deliver hands-on care to Clients as per business and operational needs Participate in the On-Call Rota, including weekend coverage, to provide responsive support to Clients and the care staff team. Answer telephone calls professionally, actioning and resolving messages promptly. Upholding Visiting Angels standards and values. Represent the business professionally and positively in networking and community engagement to support growth.

Requirements



1 year Experience in home care or senior care management preferred. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and staff. Knowledge of care planning and assessment processes. Understanding of dementia care principles is an asset. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment.
