We are now offering an exciting opportunity for an

experienced Supported Living Manager

, with a particular focus on

behaviours of concern

, to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a passionate and dedicated professional with a strong background in senior care preferably within supported living, nursing home, or domiciliary settings..

Duties:



1. Care Coordination and Person-Centred Planning



Develop, implement, and regularly review

care and support plans

in collaboration with service users, families, and professionals.

2. Staff Supervision and Development



Support with

recruitment, induction, training, and supervision

of support workers. Provide

day-to-day guidance and leadership

to the care team, ensuring they deliver safe and effective support. Identify training needs and promote ongoing staff development, including competency checks and observations.

3. Service Delivery and Operational Oversight



Monitor daily operations to ensure smooth, consistent, and compliant delivery of care. Support the Registered Manager in maintaining

CQC compliance

, especially with regard to the

Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well-led

standards. Oversee rotas, shift planning, and staff allocation based on the needs of individuals (e.g., 1:1 or 2:1 support).

4. Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement



Conduct

spot checks

, audits, and reviews of care delivery, documentation, medication, and health and safety compliance. Manage incidents, complaints, and concerns promptly and effectively, escalating to the Registered Manager where required. Collect and respond to feedback from service users, families, and professionals to

improve service quality

.

5. Safeguarding and Risk Management



Act as a

safeguarding lead or deputy

, ensuring concerns are appropriately recorded, reported, and followed up. Maintain and update

risk assessments

and ensure staff understand and follow them. Encourage a positive, proactive approach to

behavioural support

, particularly for individuals with complex needs or behaviours that challenge.

6. Communication and Professional Liaison



Liaise with external professionals including social workers, NHS services, housing providers, and advocates to ensure coordinated care. Attend

multi-disciplinary team meetings

, best interest decisions, and reviews as required. Maintain effective communication with families and ensure they are kept informed and involved where appropriate.

7. Record Keeping and Reporting



Ensure accurate and timely completion of

daily records, care plans, MAR charts, incident reports, and other documentation

in line with policies. Use digital care systems (where applicable) to monitor and evidence care delivery and compliance. Assist the Registered Manager in preparing reports for commissioners, families, and inspectors. Conduct

initial assessments

, risk assessments, and care planning for new referrals and transitions. Ensure each individual's

goals, preferences, and support needs

are clearly documented and consistently met. Promote service user independence, involvement in decision-making, and community integration.

Skills



Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. Strong knowledge of medication administration practices and regulations. Experience in developing individualised care plans tailored to residents' needs. Familiarity with senior care best practices in both nursing home and home care settings. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and staff. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously. A compassionate approach towards caring for seniors, demonstrating empathy and understanding in all interactions.
