Hours:

42 hours per week (two days on, three days off, on a five-week rolling rota)

The Role:



We're excited to expand our team and invite applications for a Deputy Care Manager. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting the leadership and operations of one of our new homes. You'll work closely with the Registered Care Manager to develop a high-quality care team and ensure outstanding support for up to two children.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead and Supervise:

Guide a small team with training and professional support.

Regulatory Compliance

: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and maintain high standards of record-keeping.

Collaboration

: Build strong relationships with external professionals and agencies.

Child-Centred Reviews

: Take a leading role in reviews, safeguarding processes, and professional meetings.

Ofsted Inspections:

Support inspections and ensure regulatory standards are met.

Leadership

: Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Registered Manager.

On-Call Duties

: Participate in on-call duties across the organisation as required.

Requirements:



Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience as a Deputy Manager or a minimum of 2 years as a Senior Residential Support Worker in a residential child care setting within the last 5 years. Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare. Supervision experience. Understanding of Ofsted and the inspection process. Good knowledge of Safeguarding and Child Protection procedures. Emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours. Strong leadership, communication, and record-keeping skills. Ability to lead in reviews and meetings and advocate for children's needs. Ability to take on call responsibilities.
