About the Role

Derby Road Practice are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and flexible care navigator to our fantastic team. This position is offered on a part-time basis for 16 hours per week working the following days;
Monday 8am - 6.30pm
Thursday 12.20pm - 6.30pm

You must have flexibility to cover for any training, holidays and occasional sickness.

Main duties will include;
Receive and assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way. Provide comprehensive administrative support for the general practice and to act as focal point for patients and staff. Offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors either in person or via the telephone. Facilitate effective communication between patients and members of the healthcare community. Handle patient complaints in accordance with practice protocols. Provide an efficient and accurate support to the administration team, clinicians and patients. Please see job description attached for more information. About the Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player who has customer service/patient experience, offers excellent communication skills, and has the following qualifications, skills and attributes:

Essential:

Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) including Grace C in English and Maths (or equivalent). One years experience working in a busy customer service or reception environment. Experience of working in a team. Works calmly and professionally as part of a team, with the ability to multi-task. A strong command of written and spoken English with an excellent telephone manner is a must. Good time management skills and the ability to follow protocols and or instruction and attention to detail.

Desirable:

Experience of working within primary care. Use of clinical systems including SystmOne.
