This role is to maintain a friendly but effective first line of patient contact, deal with patient related tasks and queries appropriately, follow our systems and protocols and keep our practice presentable and safe.
Role details
Receive and record requests for appointments via telephone, email, eConsult, ensuring that all telephone calls are answered efficiently and effectively as a priority
Booking appointments with the most appropriate clinician according to practice protocols or clinician direction
Effective care navigation/signposting into appropriate services
Arriving and welcoming patients attending for face to face appointments
Effectively managing your workload and resources
Maintaining exceptional telephone manner and face to face communication with patients and their representatives in a polite, considerate and confidential manner
Processing medication requests in accordance with practice guidelines via telephone, email etc and liaising with our allocated pharmacy colleagues
Dealing with patient related tasks and patient queries and maintaining accurate records
Following practice policies and procedures to deal with incoming correspondence (email, practice tasks, post)
Ensure the compliance with legislation relating to health and safety at work.
