We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Supervisor to support in the delivery of high-quality care within in our Supported living service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of senior care/management roles, ensuring that our service users receive personalised care and care plans tailored to their individual needs. This role requires effective communication and supervisory abilities, as well as a proactive approaches to continuing improvements within our small supported Living company. The role works closely with the Registered manager and Director within all aspects of the role from supervisions to covering shifts and on call.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and review individual care plans for Service users, ensuring they meet their specific needs and preferences.
Supervise and support care staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills and performance. Ordering and auditing of medication, rota's, on-call, medication competencies
Communicate effectively with Service users, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to care.
Monitor the quality of care provided, addressing any issues promptly and implementing necessary changes through our QA systems
Maintain accurate records of Service users care and staff performance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Working together to aim improving the overall quality of life for Service users within the care home.
Stay updated on best practices in senior care and relevant IT systems to enhance operational efficiency.
Supporting the staffing team with regards to covering shifts for our service users when needed
On call as part of a rota system, care supervisor to cover shifts including sleeps as needed and support the management team as part of staff absences and annual leave.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a leadership role within a senior care environment is essential. Level 3 in Health and Social care as a minimum.
Being able to drive- Full driving licence and own car to locations and head office as needed
Strong knowledge of developing and managing care plans tailored to individual needs.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with Service users, families, and team members.
Experience in supervising and managing staff in meetings and fostering a positive team environment.
Flexibility within the role to support both the Registered Manager and Director with everything from day to day paperwork to providing care support.
Flexibility within the role to reflect the service, this means you will be expected to work weekends or evenings subject to service needs
