As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. Responsibilities

Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Support clients with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary. Engage in behaviour management strategies to assist clients with specific needs. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed. Provide specialised care for individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other cognitive impairments. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.

Skills

Experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or senior care is highly desirable. Knowledge of learning disabilities and autism. Strong caregiving skills with the ability to manage various client needs effectively. Proficiency in first aid and emergency response techniques. Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and their families. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for client mobility assistance. Experience in meal preparation tailored to dietary requirements of clients. A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties.
