Job Description

We are looking for someone who is able to lead a busy team of care staff, within a 40 bedded Nursing Home in Trysull Village, nearWombourne, for people living with dementia and other complex mental health needs.

Please note: There are no public transport links in the surrounding areas of the home, so own mode of transport is essential.

You will need experience in a mental health setting, and must have strong, proven leadership and organisational skills.

Duties include:

To delegate duties to care staff and to ensure the smooth running of each shift.

To take responsibility for supervision of care team on a daily basis and regular, formal supervisions for a number of staff assigned to you.

Maintain staff morale; develop good communication and interpersonal relations in all departments. Build team spirits and motivate staff towards a high standard of care.

Be responsible for monthly observations/assessments of clients on a routine basis.

To assist the residents in all aspects of personal hygiene when required.

To direct all enquiries and/or concerns to the Nurse in Charge.

To ensure all daily care documentation is completed to the required standard by care team.

Induct new members of staff so as they become quickly effective.

Act as mentor to new staff.

Pay: From 14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 34.5 - 40.25 per week
