We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Care Team Leader to join our dedicated night team on a maternity cover basis. This is a key leadership role within our dementia care home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care during night hours. You'll lead by example, support your team, and ensure residents are safe, comfortable, and respected throughout the night.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the night care team, ensuring excellent standards of care
Provide hands-on support with personal care, medication administration, and mobility assistance
Respond promptly and sensitively to residents' needs during the night
Monitor residents' wellbeing and escalate concerns appropriately
Maintain accurate care records and handover notes
Support new staff and ensure ongoing training and development
Promote a calm, safe, and nurturing environment for residents with dementia
Uphold safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety protocols
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in a dementia care role
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
Compassionate, patient, and committed to person-centred care
Medication administration training (desirable)
Flexibility to work night shifts across weekdays and weekends
