We are looking for a hardworking, dedicated and passionate care team leader who can motivate and inspire our care team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care and support.
The successful candidate will work as part of a management team led by a service manager and will be part of a wider team leader network from our services across the county, so whilst the role can be fast-paced and challenging we ensure a collaborative and fully supported approach.

About the Scheme:
All Saints View is a community driven apartment complex in Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire. It is an independent living scheme meaning there is a designated care team on-site 24 hours a day providing care and support to many, but not to all, tenants that live there. Care is bespoke to each individual and can be as minimal or extensive as needed. Tenants live in their own apartments and carers visit them at their home as needed throughout the day/night, as well as responding to any emergencies or incidents as these arise.
Responsibilities of the role include:
Being responsible for the day-to-day running of the independent living
service
Carrying out needs assessments for potential new residents
Completing risk assessments and producing person-centred care plans
Shadowing, supervising, instructing, and supporting care assistants in the scheme
Maintaining oversight of the services' recruitment and staffing needs and playing an active part in the recruitment of new staff.
Create and manage the service rota including monitoring annual leave use.
Support with the accurate provision of your team's payroll.
Providing direct care and support to clients as part of the rota as required
Provide on call support on a rota basis covering a number of schemes
Implementing quality assurance processes through planned and ad hoc auditing, monitoring and spot checks
Maintaining clear, accurate, appropriate and up-to-date records using the company's digital software packages
Lead staff development including supervision, training and performance appraisals
Requirements
We are looking for an experienced adult social care practitioner with previous experience working with older adults, as well as experience in managing a staff team. As such we require applicants to have a minimum of one year's experience in a supervisory, management or team leader role and imperative that you can demonstrate the right values!
The ideal candidate will be an excellent written and verbal communicator with the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, staff, professionals and other stakeholders. They will be flexible, responsive and able to prioritise conflicting demands in this busy service.
It is a requirement of this role that candidates have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use as there will be some occasional travel included in this role.

You will also need:
Have a good level of English
QCF Level 2 or above in health and social care
About the Hours, Pay & Conditions:
This is a full time (40 hours) and permanent position.
Standard working hours for this role are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. However, it is an express condition that candidates are prepared to work flexibly throughout the week, including occasional weekends and completing shift cover, to meet the needs of the service.
We offer a competitive rate of pay for this position of 14.35-14.56 per hour
On-call responsibilities are part of this role on a rota basis, for which an additional payment will be made.
