Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in need of care, including seniors and those with specific health conditions such as dementia. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalised care and assistance in their daily activities.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health or behaviour. Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety and comfort for clients. Support clients in their daily routines, including meal preparation and light housekeeping tasks. Implement behaviour management strategies as needed to ensure the well-being of clients. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the supervising nurse or manager. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.

Requirements

Previous experience in home care, nursing home settings, or senior care is preferred. Knowledge of dementia care practices is desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Flexibility in working hours to accommodate client needs. .

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 12.60 per hour

Expected hours: 7.25 - 28 per week
