You will be assisting people with different Mental Health & Physical needs which could also include Substance Misuse, Learning Difficulties, Dementia, Personality Disorders, Addictions and Challenging Behaviours.

We have sites in Gloucester, Bristol and Domiciliary Care in Bath
Staff work across all our areas whether you are providing Domiciliary Care in our clients own homes or you are working in our Supported Living environments. Supporting our Services users means that no two days are the same, some need 24hr assistance and some are actively independent. For Supported Living, our sites are similar to your own home, they are not residential or a care home environments. Each person has their own room and access to all the shared facilities. Domiciliary Care is provided in the person's own home.
English is spoken in all our sites and is the required communication method for our Service Users and staff at all times. English does not have to be your first language. but you must be able to be read, write and verbalise it.

Requirements
Minimum of 6 months Previous health care experience working with adults
Completed Care Certificate include observations (preferred)
Functional Skills in English
NVQ Level 2, 3 or 5 Health and Social Care (preferred)
Full UK Driving licence or valid International Licence & vehicle is essential.

Duties & Responsibilities
Staff work in Supported Living & Domiciliary Care across our sites in Bristol, Bath and Gloucester
Domiciliary care
- you drive to the clients home to provide personal care which includes assisted moving & handling, medication, meal preparation, cleaning, daily record update.
Supported Living
- assisting Service Users with daily tasks including but not limited to cleaning in line with Health & Safety, Cooking (Allergies & Infection Control), making & attending medical appointments, travel on public transport, shopping, managing finances including benefits, job seeking, volunteering, attending college, social activities and accessing the community safely etc.
Electronic reporting systems for Care Plans, Activities, Healthcare requirements, Medication assistance & provision, maintenance reporting, risk assessments, diary management and any other tasks as directed by your manager
Communication with external Health Care Professionals and emergency services
Work well within a team and utilise handover sessions effectively and in a timely manner
Being mindful of Service User's choices - which includes but is not limited to their identity, rights, personal choice, privacy, independence, and dignity and any other protected characteristics
Staying compliant with training requirements and to commit to ongoing personal and professional development (CPD)
Attend staff meetings
To have accountability for your actions at all times
To recognise one's own strengths and weakness and those of colleagues to contribute effectively to the functioning of the team
