Job Summary

we are looking for a care worker who can speak Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi and English as the client cant speak English in Croydon for a home care company.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication administration, and mobility assistance. Engage with clients in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life, including social interaction and behaviour management. Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks as needed. Document client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Assist with heavy lifting when necessary to support clients with mobility challenges. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients experiencing conditions such as Alzheimer's or dementia. Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when required.

Skills

Experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or hospice care is highly desirable. Knowledge of patient care practices, including dementia care and Alzheimer's care techniques. Strong caregiving skills with a focus on senior care and home care environments. Ability to perform first aid and manage medication administration effectively. Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and healthcare teams. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as needed. Capability to handle heavy lifting tasks associated with client mobility support. Previous experience in childcare may be beneficial for those working with younger clients or families.
