We are looking for dedicated and empathetic Care Workers of Bangladeshi descent who speak the Sylheti language to join our team and provide exceptional care and support to individuals in need.

About the Role:

As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for seniors and individuals with specific care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia. Your work will involve offering assistance in daily activities, emotional support, and personal care in a respectful and culturally sensitive manner.

Responsibilities:

Provide personal care and companionship Support individuals with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility Administer medications and monitor health conditions Foster a safe and positive environment Communicate effectively with individuals and families in Sylheti and English Maintain accurate records and report any concerns to supervisors

Ideal Candidate:

Of Bangladeshi background and fluent in

Sylheti

Previous experience in care settings (home care, assisted living, nursing homes) Understanding of the needs of elderly individuals, especially those with Alzheimer's or dementia Patient, kind, and culturally sensitive Relevant care certifications or willingness to train

Experience

Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is highly desirable, particularly in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice care settings. Familiarity with Alzheimer's care and dementia care practices is advantageous. Knowledge of first aid procedures is beneficial; relevant certifications are a plus. A valid driving licence may be required for roles involving transportation of clients to appointments or activities. Experience in childcare can be an asset when working with families needing support across different age groups.
