We are seeking compassionate, dedicated, and reliable Care and Senior Care Workers to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care and support to elderly individuals, enabling them to maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life either in their own homes, residential care settings, or community environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Assist with mobility, transfers, and the safe use of equipment such as hoists or wheelchairs.
Support with medication administration and health monitoring as per care plans.
Prepare and serve nutritious meals, assisting with feeding where necessary.
Carry out household tasks, including cleaning, laundry, and shopping to maintain a comfortable environment.
Offer emotional support and companionship to reduce feelings of isolation and promote mental well-being.
Assist clients with daily activities, including attending appointments, social outings, or recreational activities.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report changes in health or well-being to senior staff or medical professionals.
Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality protocols.
Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and colleagues to ensure the best care outcomes.
Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience in care work or a similar role is desirable but not essential (training may be provided).
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
Understanding of the needs and challenges faced by older adults and individuals with disabilities.
Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle (if providing community/home care).
