Assist Home Care Ltd is expanding! We are looking for caring, committed and enthusiastic individuals to join our amazing team of experienced Care Assistants and Learning Disability Support Workers.
We support
both adults and children
with a wide range of needs, including learning disabilities, autism, behaviours that challenge, mental health needs, and complex health conditions.
Full-time and Part-time roles available
Shift work may include mornings, evenings, weekends, bank holidays and alternate weekends.
Your Duties May Include:
Personal Care & Daily Living
Supporting service users to
wash, bathe, shower and dress
Assisting with
meal preparation
, serving meals and helping with feeding where needed
Supporting mobility, including
hoists, wheelchairs and mobility aids
Helping service users stay
comfortable, safe and as independent as possible
Assisting with
medication
following company policy and training
Learning Disability, Autism & Behaviour Support
Supporting
adults and children
with learning disabilities, autism and communication needs
Managing
challenging behaviours
using Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies
Encouraging emotional regulation, routine, positive choices and independence
Supporting sensory needs, communication tools (PECS, visual timetables) and structured activities
Providing
1:1 or 2:1 support
where required
Assisting with
day activities
, school/college routines, appointments and community outings
Complex Care (where required)
PEG feeding, suctioning, oxygen support, epilepsy support and other clinical tasks (full training provided)
Monitoring health, wellbeing and safeguarding concerns
Recording accurate notes and reporting changes
General Responsibilities
Working
shift patterns
including mornings, evenings, sleep-ins, weekends and bank holidays
Working on a changing rota basis
depending on service user needs
Travelling between service users' homes -
drivers are essential for this role
Promoting dignity, respect, independence and safeguarding at all times
Working collaboratively with families, schools, professionals and internal teams
What We Are Looking For
Compassionate, reliable and committed individuals
Experience in homecare, children's support, learning disabilities or behaviours that challenge (desirable - training provided)
Drivers with access to a vehicle
Willingness to work shifts and alternate weekends

Pay: From 12.35 per hour
