Hours: 08:30 - 16:30, Monday - Friday - 52 or 38 weeks



Salary -



52 weeks - 28,485.00 - 32,705.00 (doe)



38 weeks - 23,860.94 - 27,388.64 (including holiday pay)



Landmarks is an independent specialist day college for young people with learning disabilities and difficulties. The college offers a wide range of programmes that are tailored to each individual's needs.

Landmarks operates from several sites across; Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and South Yorkshire, with our main site located in Eckington, S21 4EF.

Landmarks has several satellite provisions in Rotherham, Nottingham city Centre and a "real-life" hospitality and catering facility in Rainworth, Mansfield. These environments enable us to provide a range of personal and vocational training opportunities including:

Our staff are required to work on a range of different sites, including; college campuses, employer's premises or communities local to your learners home - therefore willingness to travel is essential. There may be a requirement to transport learners in your own car, insurance implications are reimbursed. Mileage and expenses are provided for travel during the working day.



Job Purpose:



Our

Careers Advisor

will play a key role in providing independent, impartial careers guidance to learners, ensuring they make informed decisions about their future. The role will be integral to the Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG) team, supporting high-quality career planning and progression pathways.

Main Responsibilities:



Your responsibilities will include, but are not restricted to:

Careers Guidance & Support:



Provide impartial careers advice and guidance to individuals and groups of learners in relation to all aspects of their progress planning. Interview learners one-to-one or in small groups, recording interviews and advice on their action plans. Ensure that actions assigned following careers interviews are known by relevant stakeholders, and track progression towards these actions. Support learners in achieving their future goals, including helping them explore different career pathways and opportunities. Plan a systematic and structured careers offer to ensure that no learner is left behind.

Collaboration & Partnership:



Collaborate with Campus Managers, the Wayfinder Specialist Employment Service, Tutors, and the Transition Officer to integrate careers-related activities and support across the college. Work alongside the Wayfinder team to plan exciting careers related activities for Careers Month. Build and maintain strong partnerships with employers, colleges, universities, and apprenticeship providers to create opportunities for learners. Develop and promote FE links across the curriculum and assisting in the development of FE partnerships.

Labour Market & Careers Resources:



Research and stay updated on labour market trends and opportunities to ensure relevant career guidance is provided. Maintain an up-to-date online careers library and resources. Manage the careers section of the college's website, ensuring it is user-friendly and informative.

Monitoring & Reporting:



Contribute to the college's destinations data compilation. Assist in achieving and maintaining the Quality in Careers Standard Award. Collate evaluations of work-related learning (WRL) activities and other career-related events.

Career Activities & Events:



Organise and promote university, college, and career-related visits, ensuring they align with learner progression plans. Coordinate guest speakers from various sectors to inspire learners about career opportunities.

Other:



Participate in the performance and development review process, taking personal responsibility for identification of learning, development and training opportunities in discussion with the line manager. Comply with individual responsibilities, in accordance with the College's Equal Opportunities Policy.
