About us:

Our goal is to help students grow into confident, independent, and happy people who can make a positive impact wherever life takes them.

To do this, we draw on approaches like PACE, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Growth Mindset, Unconditional Positive Regard, and Restorative Justice. Familiarity with these ideas is helpful, but not essential--you'll have plenty of support to learn along the way.

If you're looking for a role that challenges, rewards, and fills you with purpose in a world where every day is unique and every moment counts, this could be the role for you!

What you'll be doing:

Working at our Harbourside campus with students who have struggled with their social, emotional and mental health, leading to exclusion from mainstream school. Building positive and supportive relationships with young people to help them grow in confidence and resilience. Supporting students with their post-16 options, including applications and interview preparation. Continuing to provide support for the first year after they leave us, helping them with challenges around further education, employment or training. Taking part in training to develop your skills for the role. Being part of an inclusive and collaborative team who face challenges together and stay committed to making a difference.

Who we're looking for:

Someone with patience, understanding, resilience, positivity and flexibility. A person who can form strong, positive connections with young people and believes in their potential. Experience of working with young people with additional needs (desirable but not essential). A willingness to learn and grow in the role. A good working knowledge of basic IT programmes. A Level 6 Diploma in Careers Guidance and Development

Why join us?

The chance to make a huge difference in the lives of young people, one small victory at a time. Friday afternoons off Comprehensive support, Induction and training package We're a supportive team who'll have your back during the good, the bad, and the "Did that really just happen?" moments. Professional development opportunities because we're all about helping you grow, both as a person and in your ability to juggle six things at once! You will be part of an inclusive and collaborative team that, no matter what the challenge may be, are ready to face it head on and are committed to seeing it through. A school that celebrates progress, not just results. A rewarding role where no two days are the same and every day makes a difference! The opportunity to develop your career in a School and Delta Education Trust, a growing Trust. Our ethos is encompassed in our vision

"Learning together in pursuit of happiness".

This means we really care whether students love or hate their learning, so we work hard to create a space where students learn together to become knowledgeable, self-aware, independent and happy people who make a positive difference, wherever life takes them.
