The Editorial Assistant provides essential administrative support to a friendly team of Commissioning Editors and Publishers working across mathematics, statistics, data science, computer science, and engineering.
The role involves contributing to all phases of the book publication process, from the initial concept to the finished product. Key responsibilities include supporting the peer reviewing of new book proposals, drafting book contracts, corresponding with contracted authors, and preparing manuscripts for handover to the production department. The role requires effective communication and liaison with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in academic book publishing and develop valuable related skills.
This position has been classified as a hybrid role, requiring the selected candidate to typically spend at least 40-60% of their time collaborating and connecting face-to-face at their dedicated location.
