Due to company expansion we are seeking Home care workers within the -

Alford & Surrounding areas.

ABOUT THE ROLE OF HOME CARE WORKER

We are a home care agency providing all aspects of care and support which enables our clients to stay in their own homes as independently as possible. This includes all aspects of personal care e.g. showering/full body wash, dressing, toileting, assistance with medication and meals, night settling visits.

Each client is assessed on need and allocated time for their care to be provided. This is usually around 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes. This means you are not based in one place but moving from one client's house to the next.

Our rounds are either double up which means there would be two care workers required or a single round which requires only one care worker.

We cover all areas of Aberdeen City and in Aberdeenshire we cover Westhill, Inverurie, Oldmeldrum, Kemnay, Alford, Portlethen, Turriff, Balemdie/Potterton.

We employ drivers and walkers as we have shifts suitable for both. (This is dependent on needs of the company at the time of application).

Currently we are seeking applicants who have either a full UK drivers license or international drivers license within 1 yr of use in the UK & also have their own car.

Shift times vary depending on the area. However, generally a morning shift could run from 7am until 1.30pm and an evening shift could run from 4pm until 10pm.

All staff must apply to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Group scheme (PVG) through Disclosure Scotland. Initially this will cost 59 which you must pay yourself on offer of a position. An update is required every 2 years costing 18.

Must be willing to achieve the SVQ Level 2 or 3 Health and Social Care for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). New staff must register with the Scottish Social Services Council within 6 months of starting with the company.
