We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance, particularly in the areas of senior care and dementia care. The ideal candidate will have experience in nursing homes or home care settings, demonstrating a strong commitment to patient care and well-being. This role involves driving to clients' homes, providing personal care, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for those you support.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status. Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks. Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and well-being.

Experience

Previous experience in nursing homes, senior care, or home care is highly desirable. Familiarity with dementia care practices is an advantage. A valid driving licence is required for transporting clients as needed. Basic knowledge of first aid is beneficial to ensure client safety. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others is essential for success in this role.
