Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of care plans and have experience in home care, assisted living, or nursing homes. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our clients, particularly those with specific needs such as dementia care.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support. Prepare nutritious meals according to individual dietary requirements and preferences. Develop and follow personalised care plans that address the specific needs of each client. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Administer first aid when necessary and maintain a safe environment for clients. Monitor and document changes in clients' health status, using medical terminology as required. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their safety during transport. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

Qualifications

Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred, particularly in assisted living or nursing home settings. Knowledge of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively. Familiarity with medical terminology and first aid practices is advantageous. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients. Understanding of dementia care principles is highly desirable. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others in need.
