Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping others, particularly seniors and those requiring specialised care. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our clients in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Help with meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions. Assist with mobility and physical activities to promote independence. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel. Support clients with recreational activities and social engagement to encourage mental stimulation.

Skills

Previous experience in patient care or a related field is preferred; familiarity with assisted living or hospice care is advantageous. Knowledge of first aid procedures and basic nursing skills is beneficial. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. Empathy and patience when dealing with clients' needs and emotions. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment. Proficiency in meal preparation that caters to dietary restrictions or preferences. Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules and client requirements.
