We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. Duties
As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:
Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for individuals in care.
Preparing meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
Administering medication as prescribed and ensuring adherence to care plans.
Supporting clients with heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring safe practices are followed.
Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
Collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to provide comprehensive care.
Documenting client progress and reporting any changes in health or behaviour.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
Previous experience in assisted living, childcare, nursing homes, or senior care settings is highly desirable.
A background in nursing or relevant healthcare qualifications would be an advantage.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
A patient and empathetic approach towards individuals requiring support.
The capability to perform physical tasks associated with care work, including heavy lifting when required.
A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting the dignity of all clients.
