Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence. This position requires a nurturing attitude and the ability to respond to the diverse needs of those you care for.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in condition. Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients. Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living space. Support clients with mobility and transportation needs, including driving them to appointments or outings. Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client status to relevant parties. Engage clients in activities that promote mental and physical well-being, especially those with dementia or requiring hospice care.

Skills

Experience in dementia care is highly desirable. Knowledge of first aid practices is beneficial. Familiarity with hospice care procedures is an asset. Previous experience in nursing homes or similar settings is advantageous. Proficiency in medication administration and patient care techniques. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Ability to prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs. A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
