A leading Welsh charity is now looking for a Carer Support Advisor to join the team and help local people in Carmarthenshire get support for their wellbeing needs, stay connected within the community, and access vital information, guidance and specialist services while they themselves act as carers for their loved ones.

The charity provides comprehensive aid across Wales to vulnerable people with mental health, addiction & related conditions who are facing difficult circumstances, such as with substance misuse, the criminal justice system, or loss of sufficient housing/employment.

As a Carer Support Advisor, your role will be dynamic and varied from day to day as you support people who need some extra help to manage their health needs, build resilience, and identify and pursue life goals. Available opportunities include:

• Carers Wellbeing Worker (22.5h - \xc2\xa321,507 per year pro rata) \xe2\x80\x93 help carers to recognise their achievements, skills and strengths, and use these to help them identify and work towards future goals.
• Carers Admin Worker (22.5h - \xc2\xa321,312 per year pro rata) \xe2\x80\x93 develop and maintain effective administrative processes and systems to provide general operational support to the wellbeing service.

Person specification:

Candidates must have access to their own vehicle.

Previous experience with mental health support is desirable.
