We are seeking a dedicated Carer / Support Worker to join our established team, providing compassionate care and support for our client who has a spinal cord injury.
Our client leads a very active and social lifestyle, therefore we require someone who has a willingness to travel in the UK and abroad.
Support is required with all aspects of personal care, moving and handling, activities of daily living, meal preparation, rehabilitation, and domestic duties within the home.
The successful candidate will also be required to drive the client's wheelchair adapted vehicle, enabling the client to access the community/attend appointments and therapy sessions. It is therefore essential for applicants to hold a full UK driving licence.
Our client owns two small dogs and requires support caring for and walking the dogs locally, therefore, potential applicants must be confident and comfortable working with/around dogs.
Previous experience is preferred, though not essential as training can be provided.
Shifts comprise of weekday and weekend shifts, covering day and night shifts, therefore full flexibility is essential for this post.
All applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
