About you:



Patient, thoughtful and empathetic (Essential) Enthusiastic with a strong desire to help people (Essential)

Hold a full Driving Licence (Essential)

Must have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship. (Essential)

Good written and verbal communication skills (Essential) Health and Social Care NVQ Level 2 or Equivalent (Desirable) Minimum 1-year of experience within the care industry (Desirable)

What you need to know:



In this role there is no such thing as a typical client or a typical day Every person you care for is an individual with their own personal needs and personality, and your care will need to be tailored to meet these needs This is a very rewarding and varied job where you are a vital person in the life of the people we support so they can lead as independent and fulfilled lives as possible Whilst it would be an advantage to have previous experience, it's not essential - we are looking for people who have a caring nature and want to provide a great service to the people we support. William Blake House are predominantly a 'live-in' employer.
You will be a valued member of staff working in one of our four homes located in rural locations around Northamptonshire; where you will be expected to aid the people we support providing the highest standards of respect and care thereby enabling safety and independence.

Any offer of employment will be subject to completion of a Disclosure Barring Service check



Examples of the needs you will be supporting with:



Assisting clients with personal care tasks Performing light housekeeping tasks Observing, monitoring and record-keeping Accompanying the people we support on trips/holidays Preparing and enacting care plans Providing support with hobbies and social activities

Supporting and assisting with all personal care requirements Charting or taking notes for others to review Providing companionship and supportive listening Observing and reporting any changes in the health or status of the patient Preparing meals and feeding patients Prompting and administering medication Accompanying and transporting patients to appointments and/or social events Facilitating community and recreational outings, including transport Providing support with hobbies, studies, and social activities
