Join Our Team - Carers Information and Support Officer (Fixed term until 31st March 2026)

Based in Bury | Full-time (fixed term until 31st March 2026) | 25,000 per annum

Bury Carers, part of n-compass, is looking for a dedicated Carers Information and Support Officer to join our team.


In this rewarding role, you'll proactively identify Carers and provide them with information, guidance, and support. You'll help Carers access vital services, peer support, and short break opportunities - all designed to reduce the impact of their caring role and improve their wellbeing.

What you'll do:

Work directly with Carers to provide 1:1 support tailored to their needs. Help Carers access information, services, and opportunities in their community. Build strong relationships with partner organisations to ensure joined-up support. Maintain accurate online records and produce high-quality written reports.

What we're looking for:

Experience of supporting people to access information and services. Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust. Confident in managing a varied caseload with accuracy and attention to detail. A team player with a flexible, positive approach. Ability to travel across Bury with access to your own vehicle.

Desirable but not essential: experience of supporting Carers, knowledge of Carers' rights and assessments, and experience in the voluntary sector.
