What you will be doing:
Provide efficient and effective caretaking support to the office including the general appearance of the building and grounds are maintained in accordance with the required Health and Safety standards. The post holder will be expected to observe safe working practices in carrying out the required duties and will attend in House Health and Safety training as and when required. Duties include:
Maintenance / cleaning car park and grounds
Ensure that gullies, drains etc. are kept free from debris and the grounds are kept litter free.
Grit carpark as and when required.
Undertake porterage
Painting and decorating as required
Joinery - first line maintenance of fixtures and fittings e.g. tightening of screws, wall hangings etc.
Plumbing - Clear blockages from sinks, toilets, drains, and clean up spillages as required.
Lighting - Daily check bulbs, tubes, fuses, starters and diffusers in accordance with safe working practices
Control the provision and replenish toiletry items including requisition, storage and distribution of same
Daily coffee machine cleaning
Cleaning duties as per cleaning rota
Continuous checking of cleanliness of conference rooms and kitchen areas
To dispose of waste materials in a safe hygienic manner ensuring we comply with our duty of care requirements
Who we are looking for:
Previous experience working as a caretaker would be desirable
Great communication skills and
Can work independently and can also follow instructions
High standards in cleaning and customer services
Time management
