Term time plus 3 weeks during school holidays (42 weeks per year)
Are you a practical, proactive, and reliable individual who takes pride in maintaining safe and welcoming environments? We're looking for a dedicated Caretaker to join the friendly team at Bramley Sunnyside Infant School.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a rewarding school setting, supporting the day-to-day operations and ensuring the site is secure, clean, and well-maintained.
What You'll Be Doing:
Opening and closing the school premises daily
Carrying out minor repairs and general maintenance
Ensuring the site is safe and accessible during adverse weather
Supporting school events such as parents' evenings and meetings
Acting as a key holder and responding to emergencies when needed
Assisting with cleaning tasks when required
What We're Looking For:
Experience in building and site maintenance
Basic repair skills and practical know-how
Understanding of Health & Safety regulations
Knowledge of building security procedures
Ability to work with contractors and tradespeople
Strong literacy and numeracy skills
A flexible and positive attitude

There will also be a requirement for emergency cover on occasion. And the ability to carry out cleaning tasks in-line with cleaning specifications when needed

Until 31st March 2026 employees paid at Band D and above are subject to a temporary pay reduction of 1.15% spread out by means of a monthly deduction from each pay period over the full financial year.
