Caretaker

Chester

\xc2\xa322,918 - \xc2\xa324,125 per year

40 hours per week - including occasional Weekends and Bank Holidays

We have an opportunity for a Caretaker to join our Avenue Services team, based in Chester. This roll will be part of the Caretaking and Cleaning team which consist of 20 staff who cover the Chester area.

The role of Caretaker will include:

  • Completing compliance checks of fire alarms, emergency lights and water testing
  • Recording test results and ensuring all documents and paperwork are completed
  • Undertaking general caretaking duties including cleaning communal areas such as stairs, doors and windows and removing bulk waste
  • Liaising with Housing Officers, contractors, and residents
  • Maintaining tools and equipment in a good condition
  • Providing information to customers on the progress of the works
  • Identifying and reporting potential maintenance issues to ensure a safe environment
Skills and experiences:
  • Experience in a similar compliance testing role or completing similar tasks
  • PA1 PA6 spraying, BICS and Trailer Licence desirable
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
  • Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • A good understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel, plus iPhone applications
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
