Rate of pay: 6,760 pro rata (25,012 FTE per annum)

Hours per week: 10 hrs per week (Monday to Friday, 06:30-08:30)

About the role


We are looking for a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join our Operations team. This hands-on role is vital in ensuring our Exminster site is clean, safe, and welcoming for staff, volunteers, and visitors.

You will lead the cleaning team, carry out minor maintenance and repair tasks, and assist with hospitality room setups. You will be responsible for ensuring the building is presentable each morning and be confident in opening and securing the premises.

What you will be doing:



Supervising and supporting the cleaning team Undertaking cleaning duties in line with agreed standards Carrying out basic maintenance and ensuring site safety Setting up hospitality rooms as required Opening the building daily and ensuring secure closure when needed Ensuring COSHH and health & safety regulations are followed Completing cleaning logs and reporting issues appropriately

What we are looking for:



We will be shortlisting on the following criteria:

Previous experience in cleaning (commercial, domestic, or industrial) Strong attention to detail and time management skills Basic understanding of health and safety procedures Experience supervising or managing a small team (desirable) Flexibility to cover absence and occasional extra hours
COSHH training is desirable, but we're happy to provide this if needed.
