On behalf of RMG, we are now looking for a dedicated Caretaker to join our growing team and take pride in maintaining the outstanding presentation, safety, and comfort of Grove Court, Camberwell.
About the Role
As the on-site Caretaker, you'll be responsible for ensuring that Grove Court remains pristine, safe, and welcoming for all residents and visitors. You'll be the visible face of NSN, known for your proactive approach, attention to detail, and commitment to service excellence. This role combines cleaning, maintenance, and customer interaction -- ideal for someone who takes ownership and pride in their environment.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out daily inspections of all internal and external communal areas and report or rectify any issues.
Deliver high-quality cleaning and minor maintenance services in line with NSN standards.
Maintain gardens, courtyards, and entrance areas to an exceptional standard, ensuring they remain tidy and free from weeds or debris.
Support residents and contractors on site, maintaining professionalism and ensuring compliance with site safety standards.
Maintain accurate site records including fire safety logs, contractor permits, and maintenance reports.
Liaise weekly with the Property Manager to provide updates and ensure smooth site operations.
Monitor and manage minor expenditure, ensuring cost-effectiveness and value for residents.
Ensure key and access control procedures are followed rigorously.
Work collaboratively with emergency services and managing agents when required.
Ensure full compliance with NSN's Health & Safety policies and site procedures.
About You
Previous experience as a caretaker, facilities operative, or estate assistant in a residential setting.
Strong understanding of building maintenance, cleaning standards, and health & safety compliance.
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Professional appearance and a positive approach to teamwork and service delivery.
