Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and proactive
Caretaker
to join our team and help maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of our premises. This role involves working a
split-shift pattern
, providing flexibility across morning and evening hours to meet the needs of our busy and varied schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out routine cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and sanitising public and communal areas.
Conducting regular building checks and reporting or resolving any maintenance issues.
Setting up and clearing rooms for meetings, events, and activities.
Opening and locking the premises in line with the centre's operational hours.
Monitoring safety and security and responding to alarms or incidents when required.
Maintaining stock levels of cleaning supplies and equipment.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar caretaking or facilities role is desirable but not essential.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Good physical fitness, with the ability to carry out manual handling tasks.
Knowledge of basic maintenance and health & safety procedures.
Friendly, professional attitude with a strong commitment to supporting the community.
