Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and versatile individual to join our team as a Construction Specialist. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of skills in various construction disciplines, including fabrication, assembly, and the use of both hand and power tools. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. The Construction Specialist will be responsible for contributing to various projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

Carry out fabrication and assembly tasks according to project specifications. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various construction activities. Perform carpentry and joinery work, ensuring precision in all measurements and cuts. Assist with roofing tasks, including installation and repairs. Engage in heavy lifting and moving of materials as required on-site. Conduct construction painting duties to enhance the aesthetic appeal of completed projects. Support plumbing activities, including installation and maintenance of fixtures. Participate in masonry work, ensuring structural integrity and quality finishes. Apply electrical experience where necessary for installations or repairs. Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, joinery, roofing, plumbing, masonry, or electrical work is highly desirable. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the day. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A valid health and safety certification is an advantage but not essential. Flexibility to adapt to varying project requirements and schedules.
