Overview

We are seeking skilled Carpenters to join our team. The ideal candidates will possess a strong understanding of carpentry and construction practices, with the ability to work on various projects including residential renovations, extensions and loft conversions . This role requires proficiency in using both power and hand tools, as well as a keen eye for detail and quality workmanship. Must be able to drive and have own tools.

Work may involve some travelling but is predominantly within a 20 mile radius of Hemel Hempstead.

Current job is Chesent EN7 and we have a long term job in Berkhamsted HP4

Duties

Fabricate and assemble wooden structures and fixtures according to specifications. To work independently with good problem solving skills. Perform joinery tasks, ensuring precision in measuring, cuts and fittings. Use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete tasks efficiently. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians, to ensure seamless project execution. Lift heavy materials and equipment as needed to complete various projects. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Experience

Proven experience as a carpenter in the construction industry is preferred. Familiarity with electrical work is advantageous but not essential. Demonstrated ability to use various power tools and hand tools effectively. Confident in both first and second fix carpentry Ability to follow architect's plans is desirable but not essential. A strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations is essential.
