Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with the ability to work on various projects involving wood, and basic electrics. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the capability to work both independently and as part of a team.

The Job is in a hotel in London which will still be open, so this requires a hard working person who is clean, good mannered and very tidy.

The successful candidate may be offered more work over a 5 month contract.

Duties

Construct, install, and repair structures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard. Able to fit kitchens and work tops and assemble Georgean panelling. Perform joinery tasks to ensure accurate fittings and finishes. Use power tools and hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials. Carry out rip out and re fit, heavy lifting is required for transporting rubbish, materials and equipment. Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to complete projects efficiently. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.

Skills

Proficient in using power tools such as saws, drills, and sanders. Strong knowledge of hand tools used in carpentry work. Experience in reading plans. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively. Familiarity with electrical systems is a plus for integrated projects. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in fabrication and assembly tasks. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.

Pay: 19.00-25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

8 hour shift Monday to Friday Weekend availability
