Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and versatile individual to join our team as a Construction Specialist. This role requires a strong background in various construction disciplines, including fabrication, assembly, and the use of both hand and power tools. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in carpentry, joinery, roofing, and other related skills while being able to perform heavy lifting and work effectively in a team environment.

Duties

Fabricate and assemble components for construction projects according to specifications. Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks. Perform carpentry and joinery work to create structural elements and finishes. Carry out roofing tasks, ensuring proper installation and maintenance of roofing materials. Engage in heavy lifting as required for moving materials and equipment on-site. Conduct construction painting to finish surfaces with quality workmanship. Assist with plumbing tasks including installation and repairs of piping systems. Undertake masonry work such as bricklaying or stonework as needed for projects. Apply electrical experience to assist with basic wiring or installations when required. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, joinery, roofing, plumbing, masonry, or electrical work is essential. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools is required; ability to operate machinery safely is a plus. Capability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the workday. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A valid driver's licence may be advantageous for transportation purposes on job sites.
