Job Description

Here at Alcester Construction we are looking for a Full Time Carpenter on a temporary basis at a site in Woolacombe, we anticipate being on site for 4-5 months. We would be looking to extend the position beyond this for the right person but please note our main offices are Alcester, B49 6HA however the work location can be all over the UK.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual for the position of Carpenter. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various construction and carpentry techniques, demonstrating proficiency in both residential and commercial projects. This role requires hands-on experience and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Duties

Perform construction estimating to assess project costs and materials needed. Execute trim and frame carpentry tasks with precision. Utilize hand tools and power tools for various construction activities. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans. Engage in concrete forming, plastering, and rebar installation as required. Participate in fabrication processes for custom projects. Conduct roofing, siding, and fixture installation with attention to detail. Implement water damage restoration techniques effectively. Carry out caulking, stucco application, and heavy lifting tasks as necessary. Assist in remodeling projects including flooring installation, tile laying, cabinet installation, and door hanging. Provide maintenance person services including plumbing, electrical work, masonry, and metal stud framing. Ensure compliance with safety regulations on construction sites while maintaining a clean work environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience in the restoration industry or related fields is preferred. Strong skills in woodworking, construction painting, and assembly tasks. Familiarity with CNC operations is a plus. Ability to perform mold remediation tasks effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods. Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients effectively.
