Jenks & Co Carpentry & Building Services is looking for a dependable and skilled

Carpenter / General Builder

to join our expanding team. We work on a range of high-quality domestic building projects across Somerset, Dorset, and parts of Devon.

This is a hands-on, varied role suited to someone confident in both carpentry and general building, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out a range of carpentry and general building tasks Work on domestic renovations, refurbishments, and extensions Maintain a safe, tidy and professional work environment Communicate clearly with clients and team members Follow building plans, building regulations and instructions to a high standard Represent Jenks & Co with professionalism at all times

Requirements:

Proven carpentry and general building experience Able to work independently and as part of a team Own tools preferred Reliable, tidy, and organized Full UK driving license

If using a company vehicle, you must be over 25 with no more than 3 points (insurance requirement)

Working Hours on site:

Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm (some flexibility may be required depending on site location or project stage)
